Still somewhat recovering from a concussion earlier in the year (see: Tallinn); a six day visit to the Thai capital in December—after lounging in island resorts for some days—was a shock to the system. One of the most hectic places I have visited. A highlight of the trip, and strong recommendation, was taking a 6 hour Co Van Kessel bike tour around the city. Being shown around the side streets, markets and canals was an unforgettable experience that couldn’t have been replicated alone. With the combination of amazing food, high temperatures and great hospitality efforts, it’s no wonder locals can be found napping wherever and whenever they can.
